JUN Cams Tuning

Been driving for nearly two weeks following the installation of the cams without retuning of my existing UNICHIP piggyback. Car feels unresponsive at low revs and at times even jerky, although my butt feel tells me that there is a lot of potential that has yet to be released from the cams installation. Idling wise it was very stable to my surprise as I have held the thoughts that after cams installation the idling will be very unstable.

After a long wait of  2 weeks, my tuner from Speed D finally managed to hook up a time slot at Dyno Technica to run the retuning. The chart before installation of the cams and the after-chart tuning with the cams have been attached below:

Dynochart before tuning with JUN cams

Dynochart after tuning with JUN cams

Overall there is a gain in peak HP from the initial 124HP to 144HP. In terms of peak torque there is neglible change from the original 174NM, although now from 4.2K RPM onwards the torque hovers between 155NM to 174NM, a vast difference as compared before tuning where after 4.2kRPM the torque starts to dip. This alters the optimum torque range of the car, giving it more mid to high end response, though with the sacrifice of low end power.

This is overall a good installation for those who goes on the track, where the optimum RPM band occurs past the 4k RPM. A satisfactory purchase indeed!
