The S-series cars from Nissan are well-known among the drifting fraternity for their rear wheel configuration and possibly the turbocharged output of the engines. The one u are seeing is the S14, perhaps the least popular as compared to its S15 and S13 siblings. Nonetheless the car has quite a fanatic fan base worldwide, and is a great platform to start drifting!

The bug-eyed Subaru Impreza WRX

Subaru has been heavily involved in the World Rally Championship and their cars are a reflection its rally involvement. Armed with a highly capable 4WD drivetrain and a turbocharged engine, power and handling remain the forte of Subaru. With a huge list of aftermarket upgrades for the 'Scooby', this is one car which you would have much fun with!

The Nissan Fairlady or the 350z is Nissan's premium sexy looking coupe. With a rigid chassis and a naturally aspirated 3.5L engine, the car is becoming more popular among drifters worldwide. However, the relatively higher cost of the car is possibly one of the reasons for drifters preferring the S-series. To seriously give the engine more shove, forced induction is highly recommended!

Some Interesting Caricatures off the Web (Part 1)

Here's some caricatures taken of the web, 'courtesy' of Speed Nation!

Will start with Toyota first since I am kinda biased towards them.

The Toyota MR-S or more commonly, the MR Spyder.

Sporting a 50-50 config, this is possibly the best handling car made by Toyota in their recent history. 

Sadly the production of the MR-S was terminated in 2008, and this brought an end to Toyota's lineage of sports-inspired cars following the demise of the Supra and the Celica. 

The MR-S boasts a lightweight chassis and the 1.8ZZ power plant provides enough push to power the little car along. The beauty lies in the car's handling ability, again with its lightweight body and a midship engine configuration. This car would hold its own in a twisty mountain course against other higher output vehicles.

The Hachi-Roku.
Enough said, this is by far one of the most iconic old school drift cars of the 80's. Designed more for transporting people than as a showy drift vehicle, this car surprised many with its ability to drift and decimate the more purposefully built drift cars out there.

The MR2

Gosh I loved those old school flip up headlamps that comes with the car.

Throw in a set of turbocharged 3SGTE engine and rear wheel drive configuration and you will have a hell load of fun in this!

 

The Cecila

Built as a stylish two-door coupe, the Celica is a front wheel drive vehicle that stylish and whose outlook appearance garners lot of street cred! Forced induction options are always available to provide more oomph to the otherwise naturally aspirated engjne!

The Supra
Need I say more? This is one super car killer.
Equipped with a bulletproof 1JZ or the even more potent 2JZ power plant, a four figure stratospheric output is not unheard of.

Featuring twin turbos from the factory, the twins are normally removed and in their place one single large blower is installed for higher output.
